Premade and Standard Network Cables

Any standard Ethernet network cable (premade or field-terminated) may be used to connect IP cameras to the NVR, as well as to connect the NVR to the internet router for mobile app and remote access.

Access Point and Point-to-Point

If a wireless connection to the router is required, cameras must be hardwired to a suitably sized PoE switch, which is then connected to the network via a dedicated wireless access point or point-to-point wireless bridge.
The NVR may share the same wireless bridge as the PoE switch, or alternatively be connected using a separate wireless access point or bridge, depending on bandwidth requirements and network design.

Storage

Most of our NVRs come pre-installed with a hard disk. Before adding additional hard drives to increase storage capacity, please refer to the NVR specifications to confirm the maximum number of supported hard disks and the maximum supported capacity per drive.

Dahua Basic Cameras

Audio: Built-in microphone for one-way audio recording only.

Night Vision: Infrared (IR) night vision (black & white), white light night vision (colour), or automatic switching from IR to white light when motion is detected.

Dahua TIOC Cameras

Audio: Built-in microphone and speaker supporting two-way audio (listen and speak).

Night Vision: Full-colour night vision using white light, with intelligent switching and deterrence lighting.

Active Deterrence: Active deterrence including flashing red/blue lights and audio warnings when an event is detected.

HDMI Cables

As an alternative to a HDMI cable, a network (Ethernet) cable can be used to extend the HDMI signal up to 120 m when used in conjunction with an HDMI KVM extender set. The KVM set also allows the mouse to be extended to the remote TV or monitor.

The HDMI KVM extender set requires two HDMI cables—one connecting the NVR to the KVM transmitter and one connecting the KVM receiver to the remote TV or monitor—along with a network cable linking the transmitter and receiver units.

Using the HDMI loop-out on the KVM transmitter, a second monitor can be connected either via an HDMI cable or by using an additional KVM extender set.

Security Cables

These security cables can be used to supply power to cameras when they are powered by a 12 V or 24 V power supply.

These cables are also commonly used for alarm inputs and outputs, including triggers, relay connections, and other low-voltage control signals.

Hardwired Sirens & Relays

Relays can be used to integrate cameras or the NVR with external devices, including sirens, lights, and other control equipment, to provide additional visual and audible warnings or alerts when an event is triggered.
Note: Compatibility with third-party devices, sirens, and control equipment is not guaranteed. Integration depends on device specifications, wiring, and configuration. Additional hardware, configuration, or professional setup may be required.
